I am new to the forum so thought i'd say hi. I bought a 2010 blade in silver and orange about a month ago. I havent owned a bike or ridden one for 8 or 9 years so im absolutely lovin it at the moment...what a machine! I'm just hoping the weather holds out so i can get a few more miles on her. I dont have any pictures yet but i'll try and get some up on here soon. Cheers, Paul.
Thanks IcarusGreen. To be honest I am not sure yet I've got to take my test which im going to book next week. I hear there is a bit of a waiting list though. As soon as i get rid of the L plates I'll be over. I cant wait to get on some decent roads, it's not much fun riding round in circles!
Ha Ha you gotta learn somewhere mate. I've had a couple of smaller bikes when i was younger and I'm taking it easy. It's all coming back now and i feel comfortable on it, once you've learnt to ride a bike though you never forget
Good luck with your test, having a decent bike to look forward to just spurs you on. Passed my test last year, some people said I'm mad getting a fireblade so early but they forget you don't forget how to ride.My first 2k miles were taking it easy getting used to the bike. Now I have no problems keeping up with faster riders.
Hi Paul and welcome. I was in the Channel Islands not very long ago and was amazed at how many sexy bikes and cars there were all pootling along at 30 to 40 mph. Stunning place though and only 20 minutes from me as the Airbus flies.
@kpone. Yeah you wouldnt think many people would bother on a small island but it's quite surpising what vehicles people have got tucked away. When the sun's out you will see some very nice bikes around. We also have hill climbs, sprints, sand racing, motorcross, and a large number of military vehicles from the war on the islands.
Yep, I loved it there and will definitely go back. I was on Jersey and didn't get to Guernsey, so next time. The change of pace was great for a week and watching the schoolyard bitch fights of the States members on the local news was hilarious.
