Owned my 92 blade for a few years now and back in the day this was a project bike of Jack Valentine (V&M Racing). His plan was to take the standard blade and develop it to be the fastest road bike in the UK.

This bike was featured in Fast Bikes mag in 96 and after testing at Bruntingthorpe they reported that with a true 182bhp and 188mph this was comparable to the GP bikes of the day.

The main mods can be summarised as follows:

Bored out to 1052 from the original 900cc
Modified cosworth pistons and Carrillo Con-rods
    Compression ratio up to 13.5:1
    Pro Series Gas flowed head
    Oversize stainless steel valves
    V&M racing camshaft
    41mm Keihin flatslide carbs
    Skorpion carbon Exhaust system
Harrison Six pot billet brake calipers
    Harris bars
    Harris rearsets
    Pro bolt alloy bolt kit
Ohlins rear shock and steering damper

    Performance:

    Standard blade - 120.2bhp @ 9900 and max torque of 69 @ 8100
    1052 blade - 182.5bhp @ 10200 and max torque of 98 @ 8400

Also managed to find pics from the original cover and article that was in the Fast bikes mag in 96, not great quality, but gives the general idea.

Yeah, it sounds real throaty and gruff at lower revs, but at full chat it just screaming ridiculous. :D

Yeah, thats about right, back in 96 i guess that was quite an investment by the original owner.
