Well iv done it fellas , After major spinal surgery , a shit load of screws ,rods and 12 weeks of ridiculous pain , iv swung my leg over the Blade and took her for spin . Surprisingly I can sit on the bike totally fine , I can't tuck down behind the screen as low as I could before but enough to get out if the turbulence . A wheels of the lights was a mistake as I slammed down a bit to hard but general riding , I'm there . I had forgot how insanely fast my bike is ( YoshiR77 decat + PCV5 + pipercross air filter = BIG SMILES !! ) Only down side was its bloody freezing !! So as happy as I am to have managed a little blast on my pride and joy I have a problem with my kit now . Because of my previously curved spine I had a pretty big lump on my back , well my 6 year old , totally filthy but much loved Alpinestars leather jacket had stretched to my old body shape . It does not fit me at all now . I'm gutted as me and that jacket have done some serious mileage !! Lol , gutted gutted gutted .
I think you of all people deserve to treat yourself to some new armour, mate. It's nearly Christmas after all.
Nice 1 Dan A long wait but at least you know you can get back on the bike, and you have all winter to get yourself into some kind of shape for the new season. Can't wait to hear about your first proper ride out
Cheers fellas . It doesn't matter how shit things are , when I'm on my bike my mind is clear , me and the road , ha as cheesy as that sounds it works for me . Helped me get over the x misses anyway lol
Good going mate, pleased for you... sure is cold....I'm on the TDM now till spring fitted some heated grips toasty fingers but rest of body is cold....lol
If I get that £73,000,00 tonight, I'll sort you some new bespoke leathers Dan. I'll even let you shoot the kangaroo.

Well done Dan, I bet you've missed the blade. Always good to rekindle a love affair. We moan when we Put the bikes away for winter, but what you have had to endure this year ain't worth thinking about for most! Just don't over do it, plenty of Tarmac to attack next year when your 100% fit mate
Great news mate, bet you was trembling when you got off.Good to see you back on your pride and joy. Well done.
I was just think of you last night, it's great to hear you are back on the blade, it must seam like a very long time? How much movement do you have now Dan, and more important how much taller? Very please for you mate, how has you son coped?
Really chuffed now you are back in the saddle.Pity its the wrong side of the year or we could have had another Trip to Nuggetville to see you. big frost up here today so i will see later if it clears (although i doubt it) I understand what you mean about a hump on your back ,i recently went to the doctors to complain about a similar condition however i discussed the situation and was releived when he pointed out that it was only the speed hump built into the leathers so happy days for me as well.
Nice one Dan. That is nothing short of incredible. I bet you were a bit nervous at first? I currently have no bike in the garage and am itching to get out. Sunny this morning but bitterly cold.
