Hi so the oil needs changing on my 15 plate blade , not an sp so it’s standard big piston forks . Been quoted 2.5 hrs labour at £120 per hour plus new oil at £9 is this about right price , in Yorkshire not far from Leeds . Question is does anyone have a guide of how to do it , with torque settings etc etc or anyone know a place that could do it cheaper cheers Steve
Knew there was a post on here somewhere @Stevie_d - hope this helps https://www.1000rr.co.uk/threads/sh...-suspension-setup-for-road.39524/#post-532288
Brook suspension at Bradford would be worth a look, I've bought parts from them before and spoken on the phone. Their website says £200 for fork service on loose forks. Did mine last year at home, wasn't bad at all.
So I’ve bit the bullet , got a service done (standard service) plus an air filter . Then the forks stripping down and new oil and new fork seals . Can’t help think it was very expensive £825 in total but at least it’s sorted the front end bobbing up and down like fcuk and driving me crazy . Had same fork oil in for the last 10 years . Suspect I’m having a change early next year , defecting to a bmw s1000rr as new blades are silly money . And also an rsv4 is so the beemer looks to be best vfm
