Barney that is lovely - I've had a tough week last week (speeding ticket, possible disciplinary at work, home laptop crashing etc.) and missed the 'its here' post although heard at the Cafe it was heading in North Wales direction I must admit like my R1 there is nothing better than turning the key and seeing '0' for the miles and knowing its perfect / mint. I would def get the full size rear Hugger in Pearl White to match, maybe an R&G shock tube and a rad guard - as mentioned they are 600+ (the pound sign has bust now and even the alt num pad code not working!) to replace. its a tough call about the wheels going white - it transformed my 08 bike when I had them done - looks so much better - same as mate who had his motorad Colour BMW S1000rr wheels done in white - they are similar design and really stand out. Make sure you give it a really good rinse underneath with all the salt esp the rear suspension linkage then give it a good spray over with FS365 or similar - it really helps. Also all the fairing nuts / bolts / brake caliper bolts etc. will rust in salt air or road salt, and Honda do not replace or cover this under warranty (trust me I know this) as its 'neglect' even when it happens at MCN Butlins where Honda UK have their demo fleet available... Have you arranged for Venture shield paint film to go on it soon? - it will be sods law a stone will fly up and chip it BEFORE it gets fitted (just ask GaryB) Seriously thought, please don't take it on track - it may not be your riding but 'Human factors' (to quote RAF accident investigations when pilots Fcuk up) can come into it - use my shed of a blade on track - if you book into novice at Oulton on the 15th Feb you are welcome to try it but it may be full now as its so cheap.
I would suggest Fez photoshop you some Rim tape but like the rest of his efforts the bike will look like its been left out in the snow.
Genuine offer about Oulton - the fairings are all going in the bin the next day, mirrors and rear indicators removed, its got engine cases and other bits and bobs - christ you saw it on Sunday, its not exactly a thing of beauty at the moment is it!
Barney, I've just put white rim tape on mine today, looks good, and the white Honda hugger is a must.
Al , all washed down , cleaned , dried , and sprayed , Rear hugger not 100% on white yet , rad guard will see andy at tweeks this week on best price he can do , If he can get one that is , Trackday won't be doing one till summer at least , Thanks for offer of your bike in feb , but I'm not up for trackday this early in the year mate , White wheels no these will stay black ,
