With all the power commanders they always put a bike model against it. Are they specific for that bike in some way or is it just the map included? Does it take much to load a new map?
Maps are easy to load, plug it into a laptop and boom, If you can synch your Iphone you can do this!. With regards to compatibility its mainly due to the wiring harness. Different models have different TPSs and injectors therefore different connectors are required. Also the length of the wires are specific to ensure you dont have too much excess wire. It's not widely advertised but many PCV are actually compatible across models. See here from another forum I'm on: Which model have I bought and which map to use?
Seems a good price this. I rang around yesterday trying to get a good price. Demon Tweeks managed to confuse me (doesn't take much...). They where the only firm to say I needed to have an O2 sensor and ignition module without it wouldnt work = £600 ish. Everywhere else is selling from £256 - £350. What do you guys think? Bollox or not?
Yep, your need the 02 sensor eliminator but you don't need the Ignition Module As JM1 has said. The ignition module is to adjust ignition timing; Product Features: The Dynojet Ignition Module is an add on accessory that allows you to control and adjust the ignition timing of your motorcycle's engine. This unit can be used as a stand-alone module or used in conjunction with a PCV. The Ignition Module for the PCV is similar to the module for the PCIII USB with increased tuning capabilities. Allows +/-20 degrees of timing adjustment Adjust timing per cylinder Adjust timing per gear Raise your rev limit (select models) (and you have to sign a wavier) Adjust timing based on engine temp or boost input (when connected to a PCV)

Well got the Pcv & O2 eliminator yesterday and fitted it this pm. Maps all loaded for my model and exhaust set up, all seems well. Maiden voyage tomorrow! One question when I disconnected the lambda cable and fitted the blank, just under the right hand frame beam,I have just cable tied the old lambda sensor cable to it. Reckon that's ok? Guess if if remove it I'm going to need a blank for it. Si. Well spotted great deal! Owe you a beer.
