I know that it is not actually a 1000, but My first (nearly) litre bike and I think that it is going to take me a while to get anywhere near using all of it's performance - both in terms of acceleration and handling. My previous bikes were RS125, VFR400 (still own) and RS250 - so it has been a fair step up.
Welcome to the fold mate. You'll find plenty going on around here to keep you entertained. Nice bike you have. Enjoy
Welcome aboard, shipmate. For my air-braking techniques check out my YouTube channel. Actually, don't. Cos it doesn't exist.
Stimo, it is a fairly standard (slightly tatty) type 6 RN. I've only changed fork springs, pegs and fitted braided front lines. Buying the CBR has reinforced that the rear shock needs sorting.
Give me a chance! Last weekend was the first time I recall it being above ten degrees and sunny (when I've had the opportunity to ride) since I've owned the bike! The above photo is a bit older - strips haven't changed much, though! I am a mediocre rider at best, though, and I don't hang off a bike for the sake of it. A few years back, I remember following a bike round the M69 / A5 roundabout and he was the best part of a foot off the side of his seat, I was nearly bolt upright maintaining the same speed - I have no wish to emulate him.
hi and welcome mate, im thinking your not that old with those choices of bikes ? i loved my rs125 and had a few quick blast on a vfr400, never had the chance to ride an rs250 but its on the top of my list to do
250 2strokes are great fez, no good for me now I put on a gram or 2 but at your size it will be untouchable
Welcome Mate, Nice bike and good choice. Thats the beauty of bikes like these is you will never use all it has to offer the road but you will just get better.
