My old blade used to read in mpg, my new one reads in ltrs used or something like that.

I wasn't give the owners manual by the dealer, is there a simple way to change this?

    It cannot be done.

A total failure by Honda with the 2012 to remove it.

Really? They didn't implement it in the 2012 dash?!!

That's really useful for Euro roadtrips. Cost-cutting feckers!

It is sort of there, but litres per mile or vice versa mixing metric and imperial to creat a new and not very useful measure

But can you change the speedo/mileometer between KPH and MPH?

(which incidentally was the only way I'd see '160' on the speedo when 2-up with luggage!)

Damn well that's annoying :-( love seeing mpg, where as knowing I'm using 5ltr per 100km is not so useful.

Just been at the dealer getting it serviced, and I've establish I have no owners manual OR toolkit :-/ hopefully they are going to post them to me, although I bet I'm gonna have to chase those :-(

Yes Al. It is a pain in the arse

And no, I don't need someone to tell me the formula for converting it, I already know it. I don't want to be doing mental arithmetic when I glance down at the clocks.

Can you still see how many gallons it has used since last reset as that with mpg figure gives you brilliant 'real world' range left figure - you see how many gallons you get left knowing it holds 3.5 and what mpg you are getting.

It surprised a fair few in Scotland when I did a quick check on 2 or 3 bikes and said with confidence ' we can get to Moffat and fuel at the esso there on the way in'

Mine's 2002 Al, I'm stunned it's not marked in 'firkins'.

To be honest the longer I've had my new bike the less this is an issue.

I now know that if I've been touring then I'll get between 120-155 miles before the light comes on then it's another 30 miles till she's dry assuming you ride sensibly from that point on.

Thraping it results in around 100 miles before the orange lights on.

I didn't like having the KPH reading on my dash when in Ireland recently, although it's a nice touch, and obviously saves on manufacturing costs to do so.
I lasted precisely 1 day before changing back to MPH so I could see what I was doing in 'real money' on those nice empty Irish roads! :D

Hell, I've only just moved to using miles on mine in the last year or so...

    - And that's only because my previous bike defaulted to miles whenever the battery went flat.
