    Hi guys

Moving on from the recent threads about what we all do thought it might be useful to have a sticky that lists anything each forum member could offer to help the community with. As some of us are mechanics, some with legal experience, plumbers, electricians etc so it might be good to have a central thread listing what we can all offer should forum members need assistance.

For example I am a structured cabling designer and can offer assistance with network connectivity issues, could provide cabling etc (copper, fibre optics) and various cabling items that would be useful like cable ties, velcro straps for bike wiring.

    What do you guys think?

Just to clarify from my perspective this isn't aimed as an opportunity to market your business but more the freebies and help that can be offered to the forum community. The most I would charge is postage if someone needed something sent for example

My advice is free..... maybe that says something about what i have to offer!! :D

That a very noble idea Navvy, as a production manager in the print packaging business I have nothing tangible to offer to this regard, however, I'm always happy to help where and when I feel I can contribute, I certainly support your idea

We're sticking this thread as we see it has great potential as a tool to help members looking for professional advice outside of their own field.

Again, if we can keep the banter on it limited to just whatever you wish to contribute as your own area of expertise and any detailed dialogue to PMs or visitor messages it will make life a lot easier for people to scan through and find what they're after.

For my two pennith'worth, I work in the photographic industry, dealing mainly with large format printers made by a company that sounds a bit like a famous racecourse. My company also has developed a bit of a niche in the fine art photographic reproduction and printing field and I scan, manipulate and print a lot of work for exhibition and display.

Amongst other things can help in Data Protection and Marketing best practice, and a new found skill in bleeding C-ABS!
