That is an awesome bike for the money. I met a lad at a race meet who bought an 2012 MSS ZX10 and it was awesome. Properly fast bit of kit. He was struggling with it though as he had been racing 1000s for about 3 years, but reckoned that this was just plain mental.

I best get saving for when they offload the 2014 models next October then! :D

    A pic off their website!

    Looks mental enough to me!

After enquiring more about the top bike (ohlins one) asking for frame receipt etc. I've got this message

    Dear mtho2349,

No. I've got the last owners details and he's willing to confirm to anyone that its as I say it is. Also I have a recipt form his business for the purchase of the bike.

Buy now, worry later. Have you spoken to the ACU about the V5 situation?

After reading castrol craigs thread its definetly put me off a bit, I would be more than happy to buy a bike with no V5 that had original engine and frame numbers intact. But with a frame that is completely blank I am unsure if it has been ground off.

You are ultimately right to be a bit wary. It is your hard earned that you are putting into this, so it needs to be right.

Deffo off for an R6 but I want to be legit with decent suspension, steering and brake setup. Preferably a full system with PC too. Pushin my luck for £3500?

There will be the right one out there. I would say that it should have at least wets on wheels and suspension. You will need a steering damper on the R6 as under acceleration it is light on the front and does get some cracking wheelies too. Any more than that is a bonus. Don't be too worried about the YEC kit loom or any engine work. A stock motor is more reliable. I have found that I desperately need a quickshifter, so that is something to look for, but not essential to start with. Switch over to a race shift pattern on the gears and it makes it a lot easier to run.

Ok, will let you off. I saw that one, but the lack of WOW and suspension put me off. Plus it is a CAT D. By the time you had added the suspension, WOW and damper, it would be a £4500-£5000 bike. My 2009 was only £4750 with everything on it. But I reckon now it is worth about £6000 judging by the other 2009-10 ones.
