Well, it would appear that I have done won a prize. And not just any prize, but a MotoGP fan's dream prize! Me and the gf are being whisked away (err, on easyJet ) to Valencia this week for the MotoGP finale, with the following all thrown in: Flights Hotel VIP Paddock Access Access to teams' hospitalities Grid passes cool A one-to-one meet and greet with the man himself, VR46 Invites to a charity party on the Fri night with Cal Crutchlow Invites to the End of Season Awards on the Sunday night after the race, and mingle with all the teams and riders Chance to go and watch the 2014 testing that's happening on the Monday Gobsmacked isn't the word! Cannae wait! All I need to do now is work out what to talk to Rossi about! Any suggestions?!! (it'll most likely be a 30-second 'hello' and photo op but in my mind we'll become best buds and he'll be inviting me out to Tavullia to have a play on his moto-x track on his ranch, etcs!)
Heh! No 'favours' were needed in the winning of the prize! It was a simple online raffle-type affair for Riders for Health. Apparently they had entrants from as far afield as Australia so they must've been pleased when someone won who was an easyjet flight away!
Sounds Rubbish!! dont think i'd bother myself lol.... Awesome fella... no point saying "enjoy".... will be amazing! now you got to see if you can get on cam for the grid walk
Oh don't worry, I fully intend to be one of those nobbers you see stood behind the presenters desperately trying to get on telly, pretending to talk on their phone! The only downer on the weekend was Scott not vying for the Moto2 championship. Would've love to have been there to see him do that. It was awesome at Mugello seeing him on the top step and hearing the National Anthem blaring out. Let's hope he kicks Espagaro's arse next year.
Moily, thats a fantastic experience you got happening right there. Amazing, so many people here would be totally green with envy, not me though my friend, I just really hope Your next S#it is a hedgehog Have a great time, if you could perhaps take a camera for the green amongst us
Congrats mate, that is awesome !!! Im sure you deserve it, so have a great time Even if I could think of a great question for the Big Man, I am sure you will forget it as soon as he speaks to you and you will become nurvous wreck who cant put two words together ... like I would !! and I would simply say "Your awesome... I cant beleive I am meeting Valentino Rossi" then faint or giggle like a school girl lol Infact its a replay of when I met Kamikaze Vills at the off road day
mate of mine has won something like this with bridgestone this year at barcelona GP.... didn't get the parties, but did have a quick meet and greet with Vale, could walk through the pitbox, met JB as well........ I'll send your GF to a spa resort for a day if you take me..... win win situation for the 3 of us have fun!
You're joking - she's a bigger VR fan than me! I'd be single in a shot if I packed her off to a spa and took you!
*grits teeth* Have a really great time fella.... Seriously - sounds like an amazing prize and definitely once in a lifetime thing for a lot of people. So make sure you charge the camera batteries! As for what I'd say to Rossi. I think I'd ask him how soon after getting on a Ducati did he realise he'd made a total f*ck up?
Well done on the prize and trip....have a great time and don't forget to take a spare memory card for the camera
WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!! Once in lifetime opportunity.............have a great time not that you need to be told obviously
well done one of my aunts friends knows him well and I always say do you not question him on everything bike racing related. he doesnt as he said they all need a break from bike talk at some stage, can see his point lol. but he did say he is one guy that does like to meet and greet fans and doesnt get up his own arse like some other racers out there. needless to say when we get xmas presents its usually signed photos haha
