was thinking about going to this motogp next year with the mrs but as she wouldnt do the journey on the bike i was wandering if anybody knows/used any companys who do packages (flight, hotel, motogp tickets) havent been to a race in europe before so woudnt know what was a good deal or not and what to look out for,i know its a bit early but the mrs has to book hertime off for the year at the start of the year cheers
I have no idea myself but would also be interested in this myself. My wife love's moto gp.I was going for the weekend at Silverstone but would rather go abroad for a long weekend
Book tickets via the MotoGP official site. There are so many options you could just get flights, a hire car and local hotel. Its a great area too.
I'd definitely recommend a European race for a long weekend. There's plenty to choose from that are all handy for airports and have things other than the racing to keep yourself and your better half entertained: Barcelona Mugello (Florence) Brno Monza WSBK (Milan) Get a cheap flight, nice hotel, and bosh. We haven't done the organised tour company thing yet, but will be this weekend to Valencia so will find out if they're any good and let you know.
PS. I wouldn't rank Misano higher than the 3 MotoGP events above. It was 'ok' but atmosphere was non-existent and although on the coast it is just mile after mile of family resort hotels and not much else.
we were looking at the last moto-gp and they wanted £599, tickets cost about £50 and that was for 3 days, so price it out and do your own thing. plenty of cheap flights about, who needs a 4 star or 5 star hotel ?
thanks fella's will have to look a little deeper suppose i was being lazy and thinking it would be easier to sort it in one go
If you go to brno, stay at the holiday in hotel.... chance is you will be staying with one of the riders, Vale is known to stay there sometimes as well... other wise you have a motel( I rate it far beter than a motel ) kobero about 3km from the track... Half aussie/half czech owner, pics of him with different riders at the reception, Vale signed lid you can buy for 900€..... great place, we stay there when doing track days... Been to barcelona, great GP, stay somewhere in the city as it's only a 30min drive to the track.....
You can also get a train from the centre of Barcelona to Montmelo. 25 mins or so and it's a 10 min walk from there to the track. Quite handy and means you can drink copious amounts of beer!
