Didn't see this coming! http://www.motorcyclenews.com/mcn/s...2013/december/dec1213-honda-withdraw-from-bsb
Had a interesting in depth chat about this possibility with Neil Hodgson last week at Almeria.......... He mentioned that he s now become Alex Lowes Manager and has helped in securing the WSB ride........
Do think Lowes shud have stayed to defend his title, good luck next yr at WSB but cant see him winning the title in rookie yr but def upsetting the establishment with his balls out riding
Brought up the subject of Dunlop rejecting a ride at the TT legends........... Neil said it was a pittance of a salary that made him reject the team.......also Lowes was only offered a basic salary...... So they worked a deal to seek elsewhere.....
YT and wedgie should start a team, with wedgie spitting all those cars he'll get the budget round in no time…. Arthur chef mechanic? I'll do the bar and food whose the brolly dolly???
Well when ur riding at them speeds and risking your life, you wanna make sure your paid well thats for sure, when the MotoGP Aliens are being paid millions, with the best medical facilities on site, surely anyone racing in TT ( with all the risks they have to face ) wud expect to be paid very well??
I haven't got the legs to be a brolly dolly, but I know a young lady who most definitely has the bumps in all the right places. Leave it with me.
Shocking really from Honda guess if you can't be competitive from the off then don't bother!! I understand Lowes wages last year was around 30k a year for all that!!!
So 2015 should see honda back in BSB and Suzuki back in MotoGP. Suppose the only good bit of today's news is that at least Honda only plan on being out for a year. A shame though as they could have taken a gamble on an upcoming rider, one who would have been cheaper like Honda wanted, but at the same time have the potential to become the Marquez of BSB.
I come from legbourne just outside louth , Honda have done bsb no favours with pulling out , old Tuxworth is a tight bugger when it comes to paying i remember hearing from guys in the team what slight was paid and i was amazed let alone how little they paid platter and harris a while ago . This rubbish about not having a competivate rider to run well it didnt stop them running kio for far to long . I realise he was on a HRC ticket but still . I think its a big shame they will be missing from grid and i do hope they soon make a return .
