http://www.motorcyclenews.com/mcn/sport/sportresults/motogp/2014/february/feb1414-bt-sport-announce Not a bad line up I guess, shame no Toby moody along side Julian Ryder, and Melanie Sykes must only be there for the eye candy not sure she knows anything about moto gp
Yes the commentary team is brilliant but, malanie sykes, neil hodgson and james toseland sound sounds about as fun as sticking pins in your eyes. Hope its not how WSB is done as their mid race studio time is bloody terrible
FEZ I agree, Hodgson and Toseland, they are terrible communicators, just because they've been part of the sport doesn't mean they are any good at talking about it. Melanie Sykes might attract a few disinterested blokes but otherwise I'm not so sure. Hopefully she can hit the ground running and be the Anchor Man (previously Keith Huewen's role at Sky Sport). I suppose we've got to learn somewhere, just a pity that she's going to have to do it front of a few thousand viewers. I don't have BT Broadband yet. I will probably end up adding it to my Sky box even at £12 a month. I may have to go without food to fund it, but that should help with the diet.
They are building a rep for shite analysts....just look at Micheal Owen on their football coverage....pay peanuts, get monkeys syndrome
Very pleased about Julian Ryder, but for me I don't know what he is going to be like without Toby Moody as they were a double act who bounced off each other. I remember some of the races when Toby wasn't available and it was Julian and I forget the other chaps name at the moment but it didn't sound as fluid. Melanie Sykes & James Toseland not BT's finest hour
Not a chance! I agree with everything posted...they messed up not teaming Toby moody, you can feel the guys interest in the sport and it helps. Melanie bloody who, do hate the token totty aspect of sport, I pray she proves me wrong but she hasn't impressed on anything else.
What does Melanie Sykes Know about Bike sport......................?? She only knows about riding younger men.............................and beating them up !!
I will miss toby and spalders as loved his insight and it was a great trio i thought , I will be adding bt to my virgin and seeing what happens. I do remember suzi perry getting a fair few negative comments but she did a good job for the bbc i think . We shall see. I think it will cost me £ 14.00 for Moto and a load of football i will never watch. I left sky as it kept breaking and they charged £60.00 a time it went 3 times in a year never had a prob with virgin . Mrs still rather angry we dont get game of thrones though so we might end up back amoungst murdocks slaves.
Not really followed any BT Sport threads so forgive me for asking what could be a dumb question. Which series are they showing and do they have total exclusivity ie; will Eurosport or ITV 4 show it at a later date? I hate to be blackmailed into paying for TV services and if it's shown somewhere else at a later date then I'm making a stand!!
It's boxing all over again mate..... i'm not 100% sure as like you, it p*ssed me off so not bothered getting to know the detail. I'll be ringing sky soon - if they dont reduce my bill enough to to cover cost of BT sport, sky will be getting cancelled.... footy and motogp only things i watch so no point having sky without BT now.
Didn't mind Moody but turned over every time Spalders appeared as you couldn't find a more boring delivery if you tried IMO. I remember Heuwen and Ryder from the 90's and they were the A team and Moody was a pale imitation when he came along. I just hope time has been kind and there's still the same dynamic between the two if them.
BTSports have bought the exclusive rights to MotoGP for 5 years, it wont be shown on any other channel (although you might find some internet downloads?) Eurosport still have BSB and World SB too
I think that American lady who joined was gonna stream Moto gp cant remember her name. http://www.stephygee.com/
Saw the line up on stage at Excel mc show today. They seem very confident that its going to go well for them, From what I understand they are doing some sort of gp analysis show on a Tuesday night after each GP. BT ploughing so much money into the team, but no Toby (thats ruined it for me) and Spalders (I know his voice was so monotone, but I liked him)It It was good to see Crutchlow and Smith on stage being interviewed, good luck to them both in the forthcoming season
