Riders for Health are actually aiming to do two of these competitions this year. They were in talks with Marquez's people at Valencia for one of them. The Rossi one was the first time they had tried this kind of fundraising scheme and although they met their fundraising target it was surprising more people didn't enter. They would have got a lot more entries if Rossi had actually tweeted it, for instance, so I think they're going to look to push these comps more through social nets from now on.
So i've got no chance of winning then, lol! Sounds awesome, would love to meet Marquez! Pit walk must be amazing too!
Wonderful experience and thanks for sharing it on the forum matey.........what a memories you will have
Done Valencia a few times but that sounded superb! Well done for winning and a big thumbs up for the report. Could almost imagine I was there! Lol
Thanks for sharing Moily! Fascinating insight into what goes on the other side of the ropes! Just brightened up my commute to work!
Cracking write up mate, it was the first time for me to be there and even though I didn't get the experience you had it was a cracking weekend. Great pics as well.
What did you think of it? There was a great vibe with the amount of fans, the importance of it being the decider and the unseasonably good weather! I like Valencia and the track has a great feel, thanks to its compactness. Shame it's not easier to get to although we did chat to some who got the train out to the station just to the north of it and the little town was quite a buzz with fans in the bars, apparently. I'd go again if we could get the same weather!
I thought it was great, there was 20 of us who went out so you can imagine what it was like in the evenings! We got taxis to and from the track which worked out about 10 euros each (they are total nut cases) We were sat at the 2nd corner and the view we had was nearly all of the track bar the last corner and most of the main straight. Hope to be going again this year but will have to wait and see! Just trying to work out where to go this year
