Today I took my bmw for its first service ,600 mile Anyway at 2 pm it went in , had a chat with young lady About what was going to happen during service , Steve if you want to watch the service being done you may , So I did for a while , every single nut and bolt checked , Clutch , brakes , throttle , wheels , tyre pressure , lights , indicators , Bike was put on some computer and engine checked , (Sorry I don't know the proper wording or it ) New oil , filter , all new fluids , and it went on and on and on , Then the bike was took for a test ride and £10 of free petrol in tank , Free coffee all the time I was there , also bacon and egg bap, (free) Then a quick check over bike again and it was mine to take home 3 hrs for a full first service , might sound a long time but impressed Very very impressed indeed , price £85.54 .
Taking my blade in on Friday for its 600 mile service, I hope I get that sort of treatment but I'm not holding my breath ! Probably will wander what I've done to the bike ! And what's left of theirs to service lol Nice to know there are places that still value the customer
They are very good on customer service, however when they charge you an half an hours labour for a 10 minute job (fitting a rad guard) on your brand new S1000rr at its first service its a bit of a rub as my mate found out - needless to say that dealer never had another penny from him! He's since learnt they had to charge for everything and 30 mins is minimum charge time but they may have relaxed that a bit now. Your dealer does sound good - a free coffee great, but bacon and egg barm and £10 of petrol put in it is the icing on the cake!
Forgot to say , Fairings off and cleaned inside , bike washed and.......... LIMITER took off .....oh my

Blimey that's way above and beyond the usual 1st service requirements, it was more like this when I worked for a BMW dealer. Must have cost £80 just for the fluids. Not sure why they would change all the fluids though. https://www.ascycles.com/pdf/ServiceSchedules/S1000RR_600.pdf
I don't know why , just telling you all what they did , I'm not going to complain one bit , I'm more than happy . I have a list in my van of everything that's been done will Get a scan and copy if you want me too .
That's great service.. Honda had my anniversary blade for 3/4 for its first service in 2010. 79.99 aswell. I may be back on a bmw in the near future I think. The sp is a cracking bike but the hp4 is on my bucket list before my wife wants off spring
My Bmw is due for a service and Mot in April so good to hear about the good service as that's where I was planning on taking it. How you finding the bmw now the limiter has been took off Does rocket sum it up.
Slick mode is epic on the S1kRR watch out for the anti-wheelie trying to keep the front end down my 10 plate one gave me the mother of all tank slappers doing that how I stayed on to this day I don't know. S1KRR - Fantastic bike epic bit of kit where they got everything right they did however have a problem with corroding sumps on the early models my best mate has one and so far he has had 3 new sumps from BMW all FOC but annoys him as bike is away for days at a time. Not sure if that problem found it's way into the new models as it really is an amazing machine. Only gave my one up because it was too much bike for me to handle at the time only had a full license six months thought I was Johnny big bollocks and could wrestle anything around the road and it proved me wrong in spectacular style so I sold it before I wound up 6 feet under a hard lesson learned but made me the rider I am today and if I could have any other litre bike other than my blade the S1KRR would be it.
Slick on , had my first taste of proper power yesterday , Mind blowing , just mind blowing , Rusty sump it's not too bad at the moment nick to be honest , But I'd rather have that than problems others have with there bikes , Going out tomorrow for good ride and again Sunday , Also had the suspension set up last week and it's the best £50 I've ever spent ,
Well done to BMW for complete customer satisfaction . I can remember taking my bike to Carnell in Stockport and changing the oil again once home just because I and hundreds more did not trust them but needed the book stamped .When you have an expensive piece of machinery and also your pride and joy, the feeling Barney has got on receiving his bike back not only minted but has received the level of quality and care must be a massive buzz. Noting Jason is now taking his bike there " good business has been done " .I rode Barneys bike last week and thought the service had been done it was that fast .
