I've removed the old exhaust servo and fitted a servo buddy to my rr7 to fix an error 35. I have tried to clear the error from the ecu or wherever it stores as per the service manual for a 2004 but it doesn't work. I have the diag tool and whilst it will happily show me the old 35 error with the tool connected, it won't clear it from it's history.

Does anyone know the correct sequence for clearing the history on a 2007? Here is the section from the 2004 manual.
The steps as I read them are:
1 - Ignition to Off, and Hit the kill switch i.e. so the engine wouldn't run
2 - Fit the tool to the connecter
    3 - Ignition to on.
    4 - Remove the tool
5 - Wait for the MIL to come on. When it is on put the toll back onto the connector.
6 - MIL should blink showing it is clearing the memory.

Strange.. I just disconnected the old servo, wired in the new one and no error.. Take the battery off for 5 mins and see if this helps, otherwise that servo buddy isn't working..

I'm not getting the error now, it is just shows up in the history and I want to clear it from there.

Pretty sure the tool is just a piece of wire that's installed into a Honda plug to allow easy connection and limit any fiddling or damage to the looms connection terminals.

The special ABS tool is very similar again a bit of wire installed into a honda spec plug that bridges out the correct wires.

Yep the tools is a wire loop with the correct plug on it so it fits into the loom. Only got it so I could keep both hands free and ensure a good connection. Bit of a waste of cash really but it is a simple thing to use.
