Well I enjoyed it, as with others Mel was a bit out of her depth, and JT may be better off sticking with his band, overall a great start though. Only downside is trying to record just one race, its all or nothing on my BT Vision Box .
Looked like JT had his face covered in Katie Meluas moisturiser..."James........ HD is doing your complexion no favours mate" plus he had a hair cut from previous day..... Once Mel has banged a few of the younger guys........or beaten some up she ll be fine......
I enjoyed it as free so can't comment really! Shakin Stevens toseland ok and I thought Neil H much better than I thought he would be.
I loved Rossi's "F" word...that was pure race adrenalin still flowing, Gavin Emmett didn't even flinch and there was none of the stumbling apologies that the BBC used to come out with. Get rid of Melanie Sykes and give Toseland the anchor job, OK, he's a bit plastic but as an ex rider he has the knowledge and the interest that Sykes completely lacks. Neil Hodgson, yes he's a little awkward in front of the camera but I reckon he will relax and at least most of the older riders and the crews know him so are more likely to give him an interview.....unless of course they have just finished a race and the Ducati they were riding croaked as it crossed the line. I bet Hodgson and Crutchlow will be having a little chat with apologies in private over that one That Ducati must be one thirsty bike if it gulped a full 24 litre tank over race distance....
You should all take a look online the bike didnt run out of fuel, there were some sensor issues. From his Twitter
I gave 9 out of 10 for the first program. They will all need to improve a little if they are to maintain that sort of score. Sykes? It is early days yet, I remember Alex jones from the one show, she was rubbish when she first started, now you can't imagine the program without her.
Did you see Melanie Sykes look at her notes to jog her memory of who JT was.He was as interesting as a manikin. I fast forwarded their comments time and only listened to Neil Hodgson cos he talks sense.
Can't be easy for her to be fair.. But I bet 6 months ago she probably had never even heard of rossi! Bloody don't know how she got the job tbh..
Not bad for the first race of the season. I am sure things will improve, I will miss the banter between Toby and Julian on eurosport and the tech knowledge of Spalders, for me having Juilan without Toby is like having Ant without Dec (I don't like A & D , but couldn't think of any other dble acts) NH was good, and sure his interview skills will improve as the season continues. JT did look a bit plastic but good to see him again. But the racing was good, BT have got a lot to live up to in comparison to Eurosport. Felt so sorry for Bradley Smith, but sure he will have a good season
So enjoyed watching it without Spalders and Moody as they did my t**ts in! The team in place might develop into an improvement. (Hopes but we will see) Huewen and Ryder were the original double act but can't help but feel there's been a falling out over the years. There's just something niggling, but not enough to spoil my enjoyment anywayI enjoyed it overall but the racing basically carried it. Just the way it's meant to be right?
