Matt i got a 10 plate Factory with the 3 engine mappings as i had an RC8 with no electronic aids and prefer it like that, APRC is handy but i think its over rated and possible just another thing to go wrong. The power delivery is awesome, colinbr had a go on mine and it was setup for town throttle response and he loved it, also depends on you build.

I'm wincing at the lack of Crash bobbins and axle bobbins!

ACE bike by the way and may well in contention when the time comes.

Thanks - really useful. Tempted by a relatively low-mileage non-APRC "R" version. Time to set up MCN/eBay/etc searches :)

Love the gold wheels buddy, makes mine look boring lol - have you fitted a tail tidy? If so which one or do you know if the original tail/number plate assembly is easily removed and disconnected (ie track days)

    Cheers Si

Hi Colin, surely the dealer should know this? It's just that the one that's looked at it (A&D Motorcycles, Denbigh) are convinced it needs a "head service" valve/shim check? The noise does go when you rev it, even just slightly raising the revs.
    Thanks again buddy

The sound alone sold it for me lol !! The midrange is great and the top end awesome, but I believe these are massively over geared as standard and find that I'm never in higher than 4th even when cruising so will look at the common 15T (-1) on the front and 42T (+2) on the rear which also maintains the original length adjustment on the chain. The brakes are outstanding, even the rear is spot on!! Handling wise I would say similar to my 2011 blade and comfort just as good. Slightly smaller fuel tank and a little thirstier than the blade sees the reserve light come on around the 100 mile mark or sooner if ridden harder ..... as mentioned by RC the 3 engine maps are good, but again can't comment on the APRC or ABS versions but the reviews I've read suggest it works very well ...... DO IT !!! Lol

I think its the CAM Chain Tensioner (CCT) and the fact it goes when revs rise is more evidence of it being the CCT. Quick and easy fix.

Did you buy this of a guy down south Called Mick. He is a friend from another forum and has just sold an identical bike with the same mods.

Oh ok. I presume Padgetts or Autorama.

Lovely bike mate. I want to change the Blade next year and the RSV4 is top of my wish list. Test rode one last summer and I was genuinely blown away.

The steering on corner entry is near telepathic levels :D

Much appreciate the offer mate, unfortunately only 2 weeks ago bought an Evotech tail tidy with Rizoma indicators otherwise I would've had both ! Good luck with your sale, I'm sure they will go quick.
