The wtcc has a nice aggressive stance and quite like the subdued colour scheme too! :D

I actually like that civic which is strange as I don’t normally like the new one. Mind you that side view of the back does remind me of a beetle though.

Wow - first time I've seen an estate in the BTCC since the Volvo 850 R from back in the early 90s! Be interesting to see how it fairs....

    They look absolutely fantastic.
It's a pity Honda can't get their shit together for the showroom stuff.
Their entire range is aimed at coffin dodgers....the writing was on the wall when they dropped the S2000

I've been a Honda car fan for a few years - owned the following:

1989 Accord Aerodeck EXi Hatchback - amazing equipment, went from 100k to about 135k with no issues / breakdowns - unique vehicle
1993 Concerto EXi Blaise Ltd Edition - Top spec car with the twin cam 16v 1.6 engine, plenty of speed and equipment
1992 Prelude 2.2 Vtec import via Ireland - 4WS and clever engine gave ace handling and performance and again huge level of equipment inc. 7 channel surround stereo and climate

    Work supplied
2010 Civic 2.2 diesel - most horrific car I've ever had to drive, sadly the ride / noise was intollerable and thankfully was able to swap it after just over a year for a Golf (Assured by Beckers the new Civic is a vast step up from the civic I had)
2010 CRV 2.2 Dtec - current work wagon - different league from the Civic and some good features and can get 45mpg which is good for a 4WD

The new product should be good - I'd like to see them put the new 1.6 diesel in the CRZ coupe so see how it would perform - saw a 'show car' of a small 2 seater like the Beat which I hope they bring to market.

    Not a bad start

As the 2014 Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship (BTCC) roared into life at Brands Hatch Indy last weekend, Honda Yuasa Racing staked its claim to a little bit of tin-top history as the bold new Civic Tourer became the first estate car ever to achieve a podium finish.
The pace of the new Tourer had already been very much in evidence at the championship’s annual Season Launch at Donington Park a week-and-a-half earlier, when 2012 Champion Gordon Shedden had been pipped to the top spot on the timesheets by a scant thousandth of a second by fellow Honda driver Andrew Jordan, in Pirtek Racing’s Civic hatchback.

Both Matt Neal and Shedden confirmed that early promise in qualifying for the 2014 BTCC curtain-raiser at Brands Hatch, lining up fourth and fifth on the starting grid, the former barely a whisker shy of pole position in an immensely close session that saw the leading 23 cars in the 30-strong field all blanketed by less than a second.
Race day took place in front of a bumper crowd all enjoying the spring sunshine, and Neal and Shedden both made progress in the opening encounter, battling their way past the BMW of Colin Turkington to take the chequered flag line-astern in third and fourth places respectively, thereby earning the Civic Tourer its maiden BTCC rostrum at its very first attempt.

The success ballast for race two did not dim the Civic Tourer’s potential, and this time it was Shedden’s turn to shine as the Scot snuck through into second position at the start and proceeded to harass leader Jordan relentlessly, very nearly making a move stick into Paddock Hill Bend on lap seven. ‘Flash’ pushed hard throughout and was delighted to secure a podium of his own, as Neal survived a lively opening lap to cross the finish line fourth.

The third and final outing saw the Tourers line up third (Neal) and fifth (Shedden) on the reverse grid. A late charge by Neal resulted in a penultimate lap pass for the runner-up laurels and a third consecutive rostrum for Honda Yuasa Racing’s BTCC contender, whilst a slight loss of balance following the mid-race safety car period meant Shedden had to settle for sixth.

And expensive by the sounds of it Kevin.
Salesman been chasing the wife to try and get her to trade in for one.
The Si we have is bad enough for fuel consumption, never mind a Type R.
