Like the look of the HRC style tank covers and looking to see what ones are the best to go for and to find peoples experience of them.
If anyone's got one could they post a picture or any details of where they got it

    cheers

    Yes pal.
    Carbonin HONDA - CBR 1000 - 2008-2011

The fit around the filler is not perfect as you can see, but is okay. You also have to put up with the seam in the carbon which runs up the center.

The Honda badges are from eBay.

I bought it because I just couldn't get comfy on the bike; felt I never really knew where I should be sitting. Combining this tank cover & rearsets has put me just where I want to be.

i have one from tenKate, you can easily see it's a track body work, not the same finishing like the oem

You have to place them carefully without the cut-outs, but mine have stayed in place a firmly affixed.

I figure for sixty notes it's well worth getting one of these in for a bit of modding. I'm thinking smooth it, paint it, add decals and fiddle the fixings to work with the standard panels.

    http://www.ukroadandrace.co.uk/HONDA-CBR1000RR-FIREBLADE-HRC-RACE-TANK-COVER

Saw one for sale once in my 2008 black/white colour scheme and I'm bummed I didn't jump on it at the time. The shape of these tanks is just so much sexier than OEM....

Had one on my 2008, finished in white with black flashes, cheap Ten Kate version. Fit quite good but panels under seat need modifying or leaving off altogether. Still have it sitting in a box in my garage, (it has a couple of small hair line cracks).

That sounds exactly like what I want to do; how did you do the flashes? I was thinking of buying a replica 2008 black set of graphics (can be had for about fifty notes) to do mine, filling in the part where it normally has the cutout for the side panels on the tank.

Did you paint it in the pearl white yourself? I've a kit of rattlecans for the finish, but looking at the item I linked above, I reckon it's gonna need a lot of filling/smoothing/prep work to get it looking straight before painting.
