I have some track time at Castle Combe this weekend, my Akraprovic slip on comes in at 111db, it needs to be 105db, I have my OEM exhaust that I could fit, however I have a power commander 5 fitted and mapped to the Akro, will putting my OEM exhaust on play havoc with the PCV etc ..?

If no how do I fit my OEM ? I thought it would just be a case of slipping it back on tighten up and away you go, there appears to be cables and things to fit too  as you can see I'm no mechanic

The standard can has a flapper valve in it. The cables attach to a servo under the & in the rear wheel arch that's where the other black bits fits. May be able to email a PDF of the workshop manual if that would help?

Just remove the cables from the exhaust, they are not "needed".

Quick question and apologies for the thread hijack here but I want to remove my standard OEM can on Saturday to attempt to fit my Yoshi slip on if I end up having to go back to the OEM can I leave the servo cables off? What happens if you take the servo cables off do the flaps stay open all the time? Do you get any warning lights etc with it?

Yep, leave them off. You need to rotate the servo to disconnect them, then rotate it back to the normal position, otherwise you'll get the mil light on. Dead easy to do.

Have you actually read the castle combe website?

Stock fireblades fail the noise level testing they carry out, which is done differently from most other tracks!

They fail most of the common track going bikes for being too noisy even in stock trim!

The irony in that list is they say Triumph 675 2009 with short type side can. I had a 2009 Daytona 675 and it doesn't have a short type side can right up until 2012 the Daytona had the under pillion exhaust so somebody has obviously taken a Daytona with a Race Fit Growler on there and I'm not surprised that didn't pass to be honest.

I would never ride Castle Combe in any case simple fact is I have had countless friends go there only to fail noise testing it sounds like you so much as fart round that way and suddenly you're too loud to be on track.

If you don't like living with noise don't buy a house near a race track simples!

That being said I know Mallory Park got in trouble because of some chav drift fest they held there and knobbers in Nova's were playing dub step until 3am from their subs can kind of see why the residents got hacked off with that one. But as a result now everybody else pays the price because some knobber in a burberry cap thinks that the whole world should enjoy their sh*t taste in music...

Nick. Sorry mate but your yoshi won't fit the sp. All the 2014 blades have a larger diameter outlet from the headers.. The cat has been moved and it also accomsdets the lamba sensor. Ivevtsng everywhere for a can or link pipe but no joy. Akro say mid June :(. Only way round is id to make a link pipe yourself I'm afraid. If you can get one made you'll be able to fit your yoshi :). I should have my arrow fitted to the sp tomorrow afternoon so I'll upload some pics and jet you Kniw hiw we got on msking a link pipe . Should be erm interesting

Oh ************************ Cheers for letting me know dude massively appreciate that. Can I still take the servo cables out to at least make it noiser at lower speeds? Does that make any difference to it do you think? Hmm I will have to have an ask around I have no idea who would be able to fabricate something like that near me? Delkevic say they have a pipe on their website only 135 alans which is better than the 935 quid that Akra want just for their slip on for the 2014 models. I know Scorpion have a can for the 2014 Blade's available this week for 500 notes too but I really liked my Yoshi I don't want to sell it if I don't have to. I'll speak to Delkevic this afternoon see if they can confirm that they definitely have a can that fits it. Even if it's cheap and nasty better than the standard one for now at least I will make more noise than a gnats fart...

Lol the standard cans pants isn't it.. Mones being done Friday . Just a thought but if you post your yoshi end can to me today or tomorrow on next day delivery I could hang it on mine Friday and get you a link pipe made at the same time and post them back to you .. Up you mate but don't mind helping out if it gets you a bit more noise lol. Failing that yeah disconnect the servo cables. It will improve the sound hill just comprise a little grunt bottom end

Lol cheers man unfortunately I don't get my can from the dealers until Saturday morning so I will be late to the party. Let me know how you get on with yours and if he wants repeat business I can always post the can and pipe up to you/him? Is it a noticeable lack of grunt bottom end do you think dude? Sorry for all the questions just trying to weigh up the lesser of two evils? Do I get smashed by some anus who doesn't look/hear me coming on the A13 or lose the ability to make that closing gap off the mark? Decisions Decisions....
