I might have someone interested on my blade but without the ohlins so just testing the water to see if any one interested . Fitted to a 2009 blade . 30mm cartridge kit -£tbc TTX36 rear shock with preload adjuster. -£tbc This lot retails at about £2600 fitted sure someone will tell me they can get it cheaper . This was only fitted to the bike in December and has done 2 race meets and about 8 trackdays and still very very shiney. Not going to give it away but will be a lot cheaper than buying in the shop . I will ring Kai's tommorow who fitted it to ask them what they think a fair price. This was set up for my weight 13 stone naked (issssssh) plus weight of my gear. Cheers Jase
Yeah plan to just thought I would stick it on here first as bmw won't be ready for a few weeks no rush yet to sell. Blade was nearly stripped when I went in to garage Tuesday but they were busy with other work so not sure yet the lad reckons selector with the symptoms I told him it was doing. Scooby while your on what's the stock suspension like on the BMW as might have to make do with it for now as don't really want to spend another £2600 just yet.
Shouldn't have a problem shifting that Jase nice upgrade for a SP owner take the pretend Ohlins off ...................... Joke
no idea i have full gas bitubo in the front and ktec 35dds pro in the rear you want me to ask about the wheels? also on m/forum theres a chap (barry) rc45 who sells a lot of bmw stuff, sure he'll have some suspension in at some point.
Ask KAIS for a part ex price of the Blade Ohlins against some BMW Ohlins? Ya never know they may just have a Customer 'waiting in the Wings'!
13 stone, just my weight, shame I have my Daughters wedding in 2 weeks which is gonna wipe me out, along with Assen trip and all the stoof I haven't been able to resist on this page.
Does the lucky winner of these items get the naked 13stone pic thrown in too? I'd love to make you an offer but touring soon so budget used up for now
Jase dunno if this will help but this I remember from my manual on my BMW - Rider weight of 13 Stone (The Germans set the factory bikes up for proper sized riders lol) For soft settings the Fork Indicators need to be on 2 For Road Settings e.g. normal Fork Indicators need to be on 4 For Race/Track the Fork Indicators need to be on 7 That might not be the right name for them but you know the things I mean at the top of the forks that you tighten or loosen to change compression/rebound settings.. I've been using mine on 4 and I'm 14 stone (muscle mass) and it's been fine for quick road riding not had chance to try her on track yet but IMO stock suspension on it is very good. I don't know what my rear shock is set to I will go take a look later when I head home and give you the setting from that if it helps mate?
Just an update not has chance yet to ring Kai's to price up will do Monday and send pms to the people that have contacted me .
