The past few days I've sat back and watched this one unfold Barney, I've read the words within cunt twat prick wanker to repeat only a few, but you know me, I just like the Idea we all get along what ever bike we ride or who ever the rider is that we support, & that we all hug trees sit around and chant loving mantras. I'd like to think I've handled The photograph in question correctly by giving you as anyone else my personal view on the matter, I appreciate we all have different views and see things in a different light pertaining to our own personal circumstances. My comment certainly wasn't intended just to get the odd cheap like, but reiterate that this shit actually happened, & someone found a picture to show just how long it's been since a particular bike has stolen the lime light. I mean, if we was to get a picture of me buying a round there'd be still building the tower in the background But seriously, if you or anyone else for that matter have cause for concerns on my decission to keep the picture on the forum? As I've always said, pass it up mate, I'm only the trainee at the end of the day
BMW last won a TT in 1939, Germany was ruled by the National Socialists and everyone did that salute when they won stuff. It's history and it's relevant as far as I am concerned.
I just love all bikes and appreciate what all them guys out there are doing. Incredible. Don't get all the MD hate, maybe he's a funny character and not everyone cup of tea, but he is bang on form and would win on any bike IMO. I'm just going to enjoy the racing and wish them all luck
funny character?? gotta be joking, guy martin is probably the funniest character around if pots and pans and bla bla bla..... great guy to listen to, pity he'll never win a TT race....... or will he??
Can't wait to get my bmw ready for racing now looking at This picture as it's pretty much the same colour scheme as this (wonder if that will make me go faster) Not quite 225bhp but the last time I did a dyno it was 191bhp but made a few changes to it now so be interesting to see what it is now. The more I see of this bloke been interviewed the more I think he is alright ,he is one angry bloke but boy he can ride a motobike and let's face it that's why we watch the TT .You have Guy Martin who is like the mad professor then you have MD the crazy one of the bunch then you have BA who looks like he just smoked a splif before getting on the bike. All characters that make it that much more enjoyable to watch.
I have to admit I dont warm to MD he has that air of overconfidence about him that makes you just not want to like him, even after watching the ITV4 interview with him I just felt nothing, he will stop at nothing to win which is what all good racers need, just most have the good sense to hide it from the world... However as a rider the guy is awesome, There are plent of people I dont like in the world but that does not mean I dont respect them ! He has some great backing this year and is bound to do well. Good luck to him and all the other riders in the TT this year
Wow this thread sure did get heated lol. Not an MD fan myself however I did hear him say something sensible for a change when he was being interviewed giving new riders at the TT advice and he simply said "If you hear somebody coming up behind you don't panic, stay on your line and the fast boys will find a way around you." Personally that has to be the most sensible thing I have ever heard him say dare I put the cat amongst the pigeons and say perhaps there is a decent bloke in there somewhere trying to get out lol? Sure was quality racing and I'm not going to lie I was extremly pleased to see two BM's in the top five makes me feel good about my recent purchase lol. Hats off to BA for the lap record that was a thunderous lap actually mega but then we all know that Clive Padgett knows exactly how to put an epic Fireblade together.
Md is truely a fantastic rider. Without a doubt the best at this moment in time.. We should be grateful for him And the fact we are here to witness what he's doing.. It's epic to watch him on thesee machines Weather it's his bm or the little honda. I've meet micheal a few times and he's always had his picture taken with me. At cookstown he let he in his awning to look at the bikes and he was happy chatting away . This was all in between races aswell. Great guy i thought, always seems to make time for his fans and is a down to earth regular bloke who likes pies, pints and bikes .. He signed my tt legends top the last time I saw him do it has pride of place in my garage along with the signed photo of mcpint on the padgetts 250 Honda..enjoy micheal for what he is whilst he's doing it as we will miss him when he stops
Watching BA 132.2 lap last night (Will be shown more than MD win I guess) and it amazing how fast it could have been, held up and wrong lines in a few places? Reckon 133mph could be on the cards before the weeks out?
It was an awesome lap and when someone is pushing as hard as that there are bound to be a few 'scarey' moments. I can't help but think that he had fate on his side a few times, there were a couple of moments it could have ended in tears. Great ride, great rider, I just hope he continues to stay on the road. One hell of a gutsy ride, glad I wasn't riding pillion though.
it does make me chuckle to hear people say he's an arse,or not a nice a guy.who gives a shit, your there to watch racing not to see how well some chap can talk to the press or wether you like his personality, jesus get a grip.foggy was an arse, stoner was an arse but you still wanted to watch them race because they were the best out there. if you want to talk about arrogant sportsmen,go have a chat with a few footballers!!!!. and at least we know which is the better bike now over 6 laps of the TT course (for the minute at least....)
