you can see the big difference between the stock beemer and honda, down the straight at sulby the beemer clocked close to 190 where as the honda was pushing it at 180, out of the box the beemer is so much better...
Great race again by MD, would have like to see what gary Johnson could do, but he had an appointment with the airmedics, unfortunately, but at least he's ok... Great to see Dean H and brucey there...... bring on the senior and the supersport races...
My mate clocked again 118, this time with a busted steering damper, hopefully he'll hit 120 on friday...... Respect for Hickman, 9th for a newcomber is just nuts!!!

I think Peter Hickman is doing an outstanding job for a newcomer ,
Let's not forget josh brooks too only his 2nd time there .

    I have a question .
When jase and jimbo race they have too pay entry fees ,
So apart from the top boys do the others have too pay anything
to race there , might sound a daft question but I was just wondering if they have too .
Or do they just enter and hope they get picked ?

when my mate is back I'll ask him, but pretty sure they pay,

J brookes is doing an outstanding job as well, as he did last year

edit-- just found this for 2011
    http://cdn.iomtt.com/~/media/Files/2011/regulations/TT_ENTRY_2011.ashx

looks like it's free to enter, but all travel costs are for the team/rider, but they get allowance...

free race next year anyone? :D :D :D

wouldn't want to pay 10K with the risk of not even returning.... Maybe it has changed since then, but I would of thought it would cost some serious money to enter, but apparently not... hhhhhmmmmm 2016??? Team 1000RR.CO.UK :D :D

So you have to compete in other events first before the TT ?

So the newcomers would of done the Manx first ?

You need to have some kind of RR experience, and I also believe that you get selected.. I've got a license, next year will be my first road racing season and we'll take it from there...... wouldn't mind some hammer time nights over there :D :D

the manx would of course count as rr experience, but it's not compulsary to do the manx..... maybe it should be, so newcombers learn the track on less power machine. Although it's usually the more experienced riders that crash as they are the ones pushing the limits.

the link I posted the other day is the Irish Radiation Research Society Home Page, road racing here on the mainland :D :D........ getting really excited about it now..... back racing, and something different, although nothing different than we did when on holidays in france in the mountains :D

Indeed, surely the Manx is the natural progression for anyone wanting to learn the tt? And it isn't just classics they also race 600's etc.

Irish radiation research research society? Lol

Pretty sure it was international road racing? :)

Edit - found your other post ;) http://www.irrc.eu/
