Wouldn't disagree with any of that skippy.. Was defo great to hear him speak about William first after the senior. I mentioned in a previous post I've meet him a few times and found him great. Got photos, signitures, walked round his awning and looked at his bikes on between races at cookstown .. Topman

Not been much to shout about for the bkade this tt so I guess top speeds and lap records is just about it.. Bloody sad isn't it ha .. Beggars can't be choosers

What a sublime package the blade would be . Imagine the bm super powered lump in the Hondas chassis? That would make for something sublime

Agree totally skip I can't see anyone coming close to md in the next 5 years and I think he will break joeys record, but hey mcp may hang about a couple of more years a pick up a few more with the elec bike and a couple here and there ,joey done it when everyone wrote him off in 2000 with thre wins.sometimes it's not the rider or bike that makes the difference but you need a lot of luck esp on the reliability of the bike somehow can't see apprilla ever winning a big bike class the honda is so reliable and will still be going in many years to come

Before the TT I said that I thought if MD ever had a serious crash it would be because he was reckless as it would end him.

After watching him race this year he's matured (on the bike) and was smooth, steady and seriously quick. I take back what I said.

Yeah I am not over keen on the bloke but awesome rider to watch, am sure he will have loads more wins,
I reckon he would have still won this year on the blade ;)
Owning the first 132mph lap shows the blade is not slow

Watched the Senior race this morning, watched all the coverage over the week too..
Michael Dunlop and the BMW are certainly well matched and if they continue the partnership over the next few years, then more TT wins will certainly be coming his way.
Obviously I've never met Mr. Dunlop to comment on how he is a person, however having watched interviews of his I've certainly thought that his persona came across as brash and a touch arrogant, also highly motivated and full of self belief....but then he wouldn't be doing the job he does if he didn't have those qualities in his make-up.
But watching the parc-ferme interview with him by Craig Doyle, it showed him with his guard down having seen his brothers GSX-R smashed up on the course earlier in the race.
A very quiet, reticent thoughtful bloke, who admitted that seeing the bike laid at the side of the road had thrown him off his rhythm and that all he could think about was whether his brother was ok..that they had that little spat at the NW200, but they are still brothers and some things are more important...

I think that short interview was quite the window into the man behind the persona.

As for the BM....it looks much better in race form without the myopic headlight arrangement..

    Some great photo's there Barney..

To think no one believed me when I told you he was a good man deep down lol.

I wouldn't get hung up on who's bike is fastest on a particular lap or section. The winner was the fastest consistently over the course. Lap records will be beat, they are forever making the circuit wider and smoother so each year there is more potential for a faster lap. Also as MD said, winning the TT by 10sec is no different to winning by 50s so why would he push on and risk a crash or failure while already in a comfy lead?

Have to say, Honda should have kept him and he prob would have done the same for them than BMW but sure. Everyone called him a fool and I'm glad he did the business just to annoy the haters.

Great result for mcpint given his injuries there in the senior :) also think if guy martin and William were on Dunlop tyres then they could have been real threats

Don't know if anyone else was listening live on the Manx radio interview which was done in parc ferme before the itv4 one, he was desperate for news about William and complaining about some riders needing to learn what the yellow flags were for, don't know who he was referring to, but might have been interesting to see which riders had black eyes this morning after the closing party.

One of the factory Hondas I'm afraid.. Made 14 seconds on guy through that sector ... Heard the full coverage on Manx. Bang out of order..someone else did the same through the senior in 2010 when Connor had come off at the Varanda

It would explain why neither MD or Guy Martin seemed to want to have anything to do with him at the press conference.

yep it was CC, and that was part of the reason why guy came into the press conference late, he needed to cool off, he said it also had to do with william, but not sure if that was part of the excuse...

what tyres are the tyco boys on? metzeler? do they ride different tyres than the metzeler slicks we can buy? if not than I really don't understand why they are on metzelers because they are good tyres, but the dunlops and even the pirelli tyres are alot better, the give that extra bit of grip for the last 10ths of a second where the metzelers fail...

Aye as I said above I reckon that the dunlops might have given TAS a win...! But prob sponsorship clashes plus they are pirelli controlled tyres for BSB
