Jenny Tinmouth has announced that this weekends BSB round, held at Oulton Park, was her last this season as she has run out of funds.

There must be someone out there who can offer some additional form of sponsorship (in addition to her current worthy sponsors) as she always gets some TV coverage at most rounds......?

    Welcome to Jenny Tinmouth Racing

Great girl top rider but I wouldn't spend any money on a rider who won't ever improve on results it's a hard world and everyone wants to back a winner.

Shame, as she's a lovely person, but sponsorships are everything.

I'll still be taking the Blade to her to sort out though. :D

    That's the trouble!

Whilst we mere mortals can only aspire to lapping the UK circuits as quick as she can she's still at the back end of a 25 rider grid.

In fact BSB coverage only lists the first 20 Riders and ignore the rest.

The only time U see her is at the tail end of the first corner and if/when the front runners lap her.

Got a lot of time for Jenny as I've had the odd chat with her and her mechanic when they've been on Oulton Track Days.

At the end of the day business is business unfortunately! :(

She would put a lot of the bigger named riders to shame if she got a half decent chance of a seat...... sorry to hear that

It's a shame, but hardly a surprise... I could only dream of getting down to those times and never will.... but there must be a 100 blokes that could beat her times but wouldn't get a look in for a bsb ride or sponsorship to run round 3 secs a lap slower?
Fair play to her for maximising her marketability and the fact that she is a chick has surely opened doors, and don't blame her... but it's not quite enough imo. Surely she will enjoy being more competitive in a suitable class?

Either way hope she keeps going and does well, but I’ll enjoy cheering on Matt once he takes her ride 

Well no one can knock her for giving it a go it's just a shame she was not more competitive or she would of landed plenty of sponsors.

I noticed she didn't enter the last race at oulton yesterday not sure why if I had the funds I would love to back an outsider and been the only women' sure some clever marketing could get the sponsors on board as be a great marketing tool as it would get a lot of press and coverage and the fastest women round the tt can't believe she wasn't there this year as you can't ignore that and with the right sponsors as beckers said could put some bigger names to shame with the right bike and funding .

Like Jimbo said compete in a different race serious and start winning stuff sponsors would start noticing as at the moment she is still running at the back.

I need to start my own thread in the racing forum just to track my progress from now to glory... I need some ideas for a thread title???

Im thinking something like, "Mad Matts Road to BSB Glory"....

    or

    "Mad Matt Bins it Again"....

    or

    "Mad Matt Does Jenny"...

What we don't know is how competitive the bike was, let alone how fast she is.Fair play to her for trying though.
If I was her manager I would have put her in the superstock class or lower, she may have faired better with a more competitive bike.

thats the thing though Jimbo, where would she race, bsb s/stock? thats more competitive than s/bikes.the next step down is thundersport, and last time she raced with them she won (at oulton) and posted the fastest lap, beating the likes of jon ingram+ phil crowe, whos now doing a bit in BSB s/bikes.(ingram).

but, after spending all sunday watching the bsb,she got mentioned once on the start grid, and then when she was lapped,it's a shame but as theres no money in BSB,even if you win,it all comes down to sponsership.you'd have though someone like girls2bike would be interested.shes done well to last this long i think, would hate to think how much money she's plowed into following her dream.fair play if you ask me.

^^^ totally agree but seems her level is in between classes...

Your right s stock is more competitive and seems lots of debate about spec rules ;)

Dunno, maybe the 899 challenge or something? So she can prove her ability on equal bikes??
