Anyone know where I should start looking for part numbers etc on an Akra system. My 07 came with a full system fitted and I am trying to figure out which one it is. I currently have the fairings off so hopefully will be easy to figure it out if I know where to look.

If it's the system I think it is I may put it up for sale to raise some much need pennies.

I think you could only get that type of end can as titanium so makes sense the full system is titanium and I think there are some numbers on the tailpipe where the exhaust goes in on the right side if you could let me know when your selling as im on the look out to buy one

just because the can is Ti,doesn't mean the headers are,or even link pipe.

the colour will be your best indication, hazey blue should mean it's Ti.

Cheers folks. Looks like it may well be a Ti system. Will have to do the voltage test next time I am working near the headers.

Basically aluminium (I think) and titanium will create a micro-voltage when the are put together, especially when aided by a saline solution. It's the same reaction that people prevent with copaslip etc, but in this case it can be used to identify titanium. Read about it on a cycling forum.

Post a pic of the headers, soon tell you what they are, SS does blue but not like Ti, weight wise they are way different but as mounted not an option, I weighed a full SS and Ti system from an RR7 and it was near 2K lighter, the cans as said are all Ti, carbon and Ti sleeve weigh the same.

If it's clean and tidy they can fetch good money, I have someone who may well buy it from you.

Not the greatest of pics as I just shoved the phone inside the fairings, but hopefully you may be able to tell.

Sorry mate, if they are mint SS they go for 600-750+, Ti can go for 600-1200 now for a mint one, they stopped making the last ones in 2007 they had the new logo on the can and head shield, the older hex systems had the old rounded scorpion logo, I sold a SS full system polished on eBay two or three years ago for 950 (iirc) the cans are not the same as the slip on as some people think so full systems are kind of unique, a poor qual SS would make 450-550ish. You can not get them easy, that system of yours would polish up. Polished up you could get around 600-700 mark Id say for a well used system.
