Looking at getting one of these bought for me as a wee present from the wife.
I see a fair few deals, but wondered from the guys who use them most, what are essential ?
    Wifi remote ?
New battery ? (I see it comes with one, does it come with a charger ?)
Mounts ? (Best ones for the bike)
    Waterproof case ?

    And so on.
    Any help appreciated. Thanks.

Doesn't have to be a Go pro.
Is a Drift Ghost better ?

You won't regret it, brilliant piece of kit !!

Wifi remote never used mine as the iphone app controls it all, great for setting up the position of your camera by giving a live feed to your smart phone screen

Mine came with a waterproof case don't know about the new 3+ but i would presume so

If you don't have a power supply to the camera from your bike, extra batteries are a must. If i had one complaint about it is battery life although the 3+ is supposed to be an improvement over the 3

I use the suction cup mount as I'm not a fan of sticking mounts all over my bike, provides some great footage

Was the suction cup mount an extra mate ?
And how have you got the power supply from the bike ? USB ?
    Thanks, those images look awesome.

Also intersted with the power feed, now that would be great!! Get your spare battery's from ebay only about a tenner for two!! Also get the ones with the mains charger as that saves allot of aggro with usb charging.

I don't have a power feed on mine, but i remember in another Gopro thread Sinewave was referring to a usb power supply then you would need to drill a hole through your case to accommodate the lead. Also suction cup mount is extra, i opted for the genuine Gopro version

I've got the gopro 3+black it comes with wifi remote I use it keep it attached to my key so I can start and stop the camera as I want.A good buy is the battery backpack as this doubles the battery life.Got mine mounted with one of the sticky mounts on the air intake with a safety lanyard stuck inside the fairing.

Have a look in currys as they are knocking them out at £269 or £279 at the moment which for the high street is a cracking deal, however it might be because the hero4 version is out soon.

Have a look at the battery back pack as that will double your battery life and comes with an extended waterproof door for it

With the battery pack you don't have to worry about changing the battery saves having to stop to do it

I don't tend to ride for much over an hour at a stretch anyway without stopping. Bigger battery also adds weight and if you plan to wear it on your lid I bet it wont fit the chin mount with the fat battery on...

As above class 10 card. Not all class 10 cards are the same either, I found this out the hard way. Samsung are supposed to be good, I've used the same 32gb sandisc myself for the last 18 months without any problems. It's good to get into a habit of regularly formating the card too. I just do this each time I get home after transferring vids onto the external hard drive. Saves the "I can't wait to see that on video" turning into "shit it didn't record"

Good tip red, had both these things happen to me! Even managed to loose my sd card completely last time out! Have some naughty footage somewhere laying about out there! Hope it never comes back to haunt me... Let's hope it stays lost now!

First wee run done with the boy on the back.
    Class 10 64gb sandisc card I used.
Was so keen to try it I didn't check the sett is on it, but it seemed to do ok.
Loads of bikes out, but seems a little blurry.
Any hints on the usual best settings ?
At the moment I have it mounted on the mirror stem as I don't have the suction cup as yet.
Be interesting to see the same run without the boy on the back tho ;)
