I have a 2009 blade. I am toying with the idea of replacing the wheels with a pair from the 2012 (onwards) blade; they look nicer. My questions are 1) How much would a pair cost from this forum or eBay? 2) Are the newer ones much better? 3) Or should I go the magnesium/ carbon way? ( this may be too expensive.) I asked the question the other day, and I recall the view was somewhere between £800 and a £1k for 12+ wheels. They do look awesome though, and surely you'd get around £400 back for yours?
I wouldn't go the magnesium way if your road riding as they can get damaged easily, the 12+ year wheels are actually heavier than the earlier wheels! I would either go aftermarket aluminium or carbon if you don't mind the cost
I don't think its about the weight with the new ones though I believe it's more to do with where the weight is placed in the wheel ( some scientific head fcuk stuff) I'm sure someone like Arthur can explain this in an easier way to understand
The new wheels do look nice..in was thinking the same, bit did not know that they would fit a 09 blade... Look even nicer in orange... just wondering how much of a pain they would be to keep clean...? I was thinking of selling my 09 abs buying a newer blade..but liking the idea of just buying the wheels more..

Came out in 12, they do pop up but prob looking at 1k for a set, there's a set of BST's on evil bay at the mo for a buy now of 1400......I know what I would do
