Option 1 (GP4-RX) is a step up in the Brembo range from the HPK's so usually is listed at a higher price point.

To be honest the cheaper brembo m4 mono blocks are more than enough for the blade then use the rest of the cash saved on other bling for the bike

I would disagree with you on that as they have made a world of difference to mine and I'm not the only one to say that either

well I need to get a brembo rear to go on the swingarm so would it really be worth upgrading to the gp4-rx?

The M/C would be a better upgrade than the M4's if you had to choose imho

At the end of the day unless you are seriously Tracking a bike or racing it all this will be just for the Bling Factor so what you're prepared, or can afford to spend will dictate your choice, either way I'm sure you'll be pleased. :)

I think they are the m4's on my triple but they are way better than my blades brakes...

Might be the suspesion compensates it better or the riding position makes it feel different but the stopping power of that bike is incredible. So much so that if they fit they'd be going on the blade....

Always told that the stock calipers are just as good, but don't believe it anymore - some brembos will be going on the blade over winter ;)

M4s are better than std callipers IMO and the HPKs are better again

When I went back to stock before trading the blade in I was shocked by the difference

I think brakes are more important on the road for me yes better brakes will fade less etc on track but overall feel and confidence on the road is priceless :)

I have the HPKs fitted to mine front and back, and to be perfectly honest the only reason I fitted them was the "OOOOO they're pretty" line of thought :D

The power when you give them a good squeeze is really impressive tho  :D definatly a "f*@k me ... I like them" kind of feel :D

I know they're pricey and they are better than the standard calipers but realistically I wasn't streching the standards to warrant them, but as I like to mess about with and just sit and stare at my bikes it's money well spent for me

My mate had the GP4s on his ZX10 c/w master cylinder and they were probably the best brakes I have ever tried, loads of power and feel (very similar to the HPKs just a little more so)

The only reason I didn't go for the GP4s was because they didn't come in the finish I wanted !

You'll also have to have a good think about the rear caliper if you're fitting it to a standard wheel, it will fit a 2013 rear wheel ok but it's so very very close to the wheel hub, and if it moves slightly in the mounting holes or flexes in use there is a very good chance of them touching, I have some pics if you need to see how close they are

The castings of rear wheels differ slightly from one to the next, some touch and some don't but if they don't they are always 1mm or less if your going to get a close one, that's the nature of mass production and a cast hub. Brembo do say the HPK rear is NOT for use with a OEM rear wheels as most know.

I have GP4RX also and an RCS master, plus 5.5mm Brembo disks too, the brakes are amazing! 160mph and hard on the front with one finger and it's easy to get the rear up nice and steady! I'd never want anything less than M4s on my sportsbikes.

As for matching the GP4s to the new now called GP4 rear (was just an 84mm HPK in bronze) you'd have to say they don't match, the GP4,s use a Multi axis mill and the HPKs don't, the HPK fronts match more with the 84mm HPK/GP4 rears in bronze or nickel, they do a black rear and a .484 front, the black .484 is much the same as the GP4RX only know as a .484 as that's the displacement of fluid. GP4RX, .484 and M4s run the same pad, HPKs don't. The M4 on the SP is not the same spec as the M4 108mm you buy as a kit.
