Does anyone on the forum have any experience of these Maxton shocks. I have a stock 2012 shock fitted at the moment - this was a definite improvement over the 2011 shock originally fitted so would the Maxton be an improvement on the 2012?

Any feedback good or bad would be welcome - Steve

Most definitely, however New Maxton prices have risen quite a lot recently and this is why I went Ohlins as Maxton have got too close to Ohlins prices for me.

You seen the one on eBay??? The thing with any suspension unit like the GP10 is they are hand built with finite adjustment and quality components, you get what you pay for, for me it all depends on how hard you ride?? For normal road use the stock is fine but you push the boundaries on track riding hard and asking the tyre to work fully using good suspension. Just my two pennies worth.

Thanks for the feedback chaps they sound better than I thought and yes there is one on Ebay or there was last night LOL. I'm happy with the current shock as I only ride on the road but the stock spring is way too stiff for my weight. I looked into changing the spring but was advised it would be better to spent the money on an aftermarket shock. The shock on Ebay is setup for someone around my weight so it should be a little less harsh over bumps etc.
