pistons, rods and nova gearbox are on the list, no labour cost in building as im doing that bit myself. im not looking to go faster I just want the enjoyment of building the engine myself that I can then ride with
Good headwork by Tim Radley is 2300£ ........ And not only 10HP ..... My bike, std Wiseco piston + headwork + regrind cams = 30hp at the top between OEM bike and now ( 155/ 183 ) and big torque. WIth +2 pistons and Tim headwork , you will get a bit more at the top but a lot of Hp and torque at low and mid.
155 is a VERY low standard number. Mine was 170 without any engine work, just what you see in my signature. Its not uncommon
Numbers are numbers on a dyno, gains can see on the same dyno before and after. gains between 120 to 150 and in my case 155 to 185 are the same gain :30hp bump.
no reason why it should, although you wont get the full benefit of the extended rev range that you can use with all the engine work, saying that,it's no bad thing, saves the risk of bouncing the valves off the pistons.....
