took me ages to get bolts as they were on back order so in the end went into the honda workshop and for a fiver got used bolts off a mechanic
So I've made a small start and hopefully the most difficult bit done the tail piece, again not the best photos! Done in the dark in the shed
Only spent just over an hour on it didn't get up till late and then had to sort some other stuff out, martin's coming tomorrow to help
Very nice carbon mate. Lets us know how all fit together. Carbon parts are a bit stiff in places but fingers crossed!
Think the tail piece is probably the hardest bit to fit as had to take seat lock out and refit after the tail piece was on place and I haven't got the smallest of hands, but looking good so far
Well just started and I thought I would test the difference in weight Standard 948 grams Carbon 646 grams So a nice little saving and that's just the tank
Old front cowl with half missing New carbon Few more grams saved I reckon about 100 grams from what has broken off the original
If you get stuck for the bolts Yorkshiregooner has a set on eBay right now that I'm sure he can express to you. You reckon about a kg saving in total then? Not a lot really is it, but then it's not really about the weight is it. It's going to look awesome.
Picked up bolts and been busy with the dremmel, just to get a couple of clips to fit nothing serious though. So lights and cowl fitted back on
