true.. will see if I can calibrate it.. seems like there is 2 different methods to setting it up so not giving up too early
just been out pottering again.. had to order some new bling bolts as the ones I had were not long enough for my OCD. Updated the dash with the latest firmware (even though i think it came with the latest) and set the Odo reading - you can set this to anything you want. Had a chat over the email with Arthur today.. seems like there is no chance to get the low fuel working due to the way the 04-07 bikes are set up. No biggy since I always try and refuel before 100 miles anyway.. worth the sacrifice to have the dash i think!
It's odd as the fuel light works on my 2012 dash.. Is this something to do with the cbr 600 hm dash you have gilesy?
a message from Arthur to me: You will not get the low fuel to work as the 600RR backplate is wired for a potentiometer and not the headed resistor fitted to the RR6 1000 etc, also the dash is not electronically the same as the Honda dash’s so further electronics would be needed to get it working, HM and I talked about it but its a money pit to make up! All the other features of the dash will work fine, you can set the ODO milage with the tool on the HM site, the trip counter is easy to reset once re fuelled..
You could do it another way and have a small led mounted discreetly that feeds off the fuel resistor that lights up when you hit reserve
Arthur has another idea.. a CBR600 Sender unit! simples.. dash should get the low fuel warning.. wish I was smart haha
