Anyone done it? Will be installing PCV and 02 eliminator next week and wondered if was worth doing this at same time?
Disconnect if you are putting a aftermarket exhaust on ... If not then leave it as the flap will stay shut in exhaust. Just remove cables leave servo on and dont move the wheel/dial or you will get a FI light
Yep mine is disconnected, that is the cable removed from the servo. Much deeper tone at lower revs. Just take a photo before hand for future reference
Yours removed off standard exhaust buddy ? i thought the flap stopped shut all the time then . Well it did on my rr6 so might be different later ones
all stock rr9, disconnecting the servo under the tail just keeps the big hole open at all revs hence the extra growl. apologies OCD the grime on my bike is probably making you twitch! considered the same for the air rams but too much of a ball ache
Ah thats cool on my rr6 it shut it the fooking thing so i had to take the flap out ha ha thats good then .. i done the ram air tubes they were quite easy winter job for you ha ha
I'd leave it connected unless you get an after market exhaust then get a exhaust servo replacement module and use the space to put your pcv, are you leaving the lambda sensor in place when you fit the O2 eliminator? I'd recommend removing it and fitting a bung
That's what I did when I fitted my can the other week, just turned 1/4 turn pop out the nipple(oo er) and turn back 1/4 turn replace cover and jobs a good un.
It really is a 2 minute job to either undo it or connect it back up. Get it done and see what you think.
