Thought I'd share a few pics. Went on Saturday, cracking day out. For those who haven't been yet enjoy! Bike that took my fancy I'm afraid to say but I will, the black S1000RR up on the stand. As for the R1, I thought it would look better in the metal but that front nose?? The H2, what a noise!!
finally someone has posted photos! great pics.. wonder what those little dampers are on some of the super bike forks.. surely all that golden bling wouldn't need a little 6mm damper attached on the side to avoid dive etc??
They are telemetry potentiometers, one for front, rear and steering damper. Also note the infra red thermal sensor to monitor and log disc temp, they also have them left and right side of the front tyre and left, right and middle of the rear, just some of the data logging on a GP bike.
Here's the dumbed down version of what Arthur said.........the rods allow the teams to measure and log the travel distance of various components like fork dive as in the pics above!
FGR300 so yes £8834.24 + VAT = £10,601.00 want a pair? Don't forget to cost custom top and bottom yoke as they don't make one for them and then your GP spec mono's at £1500 per side plus pads and so on, anyway those Brembos are way over the spec of say a GP4RR so god knows what they cost for an M1, what I do know is it takes 6 months to bake a carbon disc!
will the video include McGuiness saying "who the F*** is this Lamchops dafty" Hope you stuck a sticker on the back of his T-shirt as you were posing for a photo hahaha...
I know a guy who got a pair, I do ask myself the question whats the point when he gets lapped by some dude on a stock GSXR, and he rides a 1199SL! But then I guess if you can why not, if I could I would
Oh for sure! just like that Desmosedici video you posted Arthur.. what a sound! Would love that in my garage!
I was too busy walking around with my tongue hanging out gawping at all the fantastic bikes and everything else on offer to have my eyes fixed to do a vid, looking forward to the LambChops version of events. I only just found the enough time to take those pictures, it was a good day out, those who aint been enjoy it, I would go back again if I could. Anyway, cheeky question, who knows the price of a new base model S1000RR?
