Datatool Heated Grips Therma Grip Heated Hand Grips | eBay

Going into my second winter with these mate. They get quite hot on the maximum setting. Fair to say tho, no heated grips will warm the outside of a hand that's in separate-fingered gloves so I risk it and combine these with mittens:eek:

    Are they a bit bulky?

I'm considering symtec with renthal grips but those datatool do look good but rather big? I'm not a fan of bulky grips that's all.

I agree soul but my point being that's why the after aftermarket ones are so expensive. An extra half a kilo in steel isn't going to cause any here to much of an issue :)

Not when you fill it up with shit loads more fuel???? Defeats the object really doesn't it... Unless you need it for endurance racing of course. Which is like - 99.9999% of us of course ;)

'Shit loads more fuel'? GERTCHA! Just an extra 5litres/kilo's(approx') that, after about 50 miles will leave you with the weight and dynamics of a full standard tank. Anyway I've seen blokes touring on 'blades with 20L tank bags that the rider could barely see over. What's that doing to Mr Hondas' much vaunted weight centralization I wonder:confused:

Almost 30% more weight then mate? And my point wasn't about handling, it's about spending all that money for a light weight tank then filling it up with fuel to go touring on it for more miles?? Might as well just get a standard modified.

But you make a valid point (even if no relevance to mine you quote) but its all about compromise and getting what you want from the bike.... Personally trying to make a blade a touring bike is just a bit daft.... Ride it like a sports bike and enjoy it for what it is. Or (here is the punch line as you like brackets like me) - just buy a touring bike ;)

Just my opinion though obviously. ;)
