What size did U go for Gilesy on the Supertec R's compared to your standard shoe size? Read a few Peeps who've ordered too big as these boots tend to be on the roomy size compared to other manuf's?
I'm a 9 all day long normally in work shoes etc.. but ordered a 44 (same as I had my previous Alpine boots). Once you have a pair of normal socks on, and they are done up, they fit almost perfect.. haha I sat with them on the other night for about 1.5hrs.. couldn't believe how comfy they were.. wife shook her head..
Looking good gilesy, I have a new mod for the list! RR8 onwards side stand. I can tell from your pic the current side stand is the same as my old 900 side stand. RR8 is alloy and much lighter than the steel ones bolt pattern is also identical so easy mod.
Great point John.. Did think of this in the summer but got sidetracked.. I'll maybe 'borrow' the SP one to try it first
Yes it's a good mod, the steel one is heavy! One thing to watch, the side stand switch could be wired backwards compared to the rr6 it certainly was to the rr4 caught me out. would cut out when the side stand went up!
Hmm yeah could be.. Mine was allways to short so the rr8 one was perfect. Could be worth swapping them over to see how it sits
Just remember not to put the weight of the bike on the alloy stand as it will bend. When I bought my 2014 the dealer told me its the main bike they can't tilt and turn around in the shop because of this, so you can't oil your chain when touring by tilting the bike to rotate the rear wheel.
I've never thought it a good idea to use a sidestand for Tilt & Turn manouvers or to sit on a bike with both feet on the pegs when on a sidestand, so I do neither. They are designed to prop the bike up only, and no more.
