still have an unfitted set from that seller. Will put them in when the wheels next come off. So can't comment on their use.... but they can only make the job easier!
Can't really see the point of spending on these unless like yourself, Scott, and me, you use them for racing or trackdays when every minute counts between sessions. It's amazing how sometimes that rear wheel just won't go on when you're under pressure!
I get mine a lot cheaper than that. So even just the rear is so handy when uv had em before. Other than that ur right especially if u get a shop to change ur tyres
Yoy need the caliper bracket Martin i have captive spacers in all my wheel they are a god send ha ha .
Looking at the photo he has a bracket that mounts to the outside of the swingarm where the axle nut goes and then the other end of the bracket attaches to the brake caliper holding it in situ for wheel changes. Looks ideal.
You can also do this with just the adjuster block and 5mm taps.(ignore the underslung caliper and bracket) it works the same on the standard caliper and bracket.
Honda CBR1000RR 2008-14 Captive Caliper Bracket race/trackday | eBay Everyone beat me too it . The orange part is a bit of hose inbetween the pads holds them slightly apart but does not cause any issues on brake .
I was fortunate enough to got a free set of these from captivespacers.com, and highly recommend them. For those of you that used to do European track days with Focused Events might remember the guy that used to do the tyre changes. His name is Mick Cheshire, and he has something to do with this company. They sent me prototype spacers for my cbr600rr for free. All I had to do was give them feedback on the spacers. The spacers are great quality and fit a treat!
easy to fit aswell aint they wedgie captive spacers are awesome.try steve barden,he does them at good money.also parkitt racing was doing a deal on them, they might still be try them aswell.
I like the caliper bracket! Might have to get me one of those! As I said earlier though, best place for these and captive spacers is on a racers or trackdayers bike! Unnecessary bling for a road bike surely?
