How tough is the paint on the swing arm

Would scotch brite drag it off easy enough without having to take it all off and get paint stripped. Would like it in silver

 

with enough effort it will,but a asoft wire brush on a drill would be a lot easier,but to do it properly,you'll need to take it off anyway.

 

Mayb that seems like it could be a Job get half way through and wish I never started it

 

Better if its dipped in costic ,I have just sent a arm off to harris who are doing this for me,prob need to get new bearings unless they come out easy enough then can go back

 

Im thinking of doing the same.. Would you clear coat it in something or leave it bare ?

 

Would prob leave it bare. Mayb some of that spray. That's better than wd40. Can't remember what it's callwd now.
Mayb I should leave it till next winter now or crash time

 

Hmmm, i reckon id try and coat it with something or all the hard to reach places will start eating its self with a bit of weather !

 

Harris spray it afterwards don't know what in tho ,I will post some pics when I get the swingin arm conversion back
