Is the air bottle removable if I have just blocked the pipe off and not fitted blanking plates? The pipe blocked by a previous owner and I don't know if he has done the full mod or not. I want to fit a HID ballast and it would be an ideal spot if I can remove the bottle. The bit I want to remove is number 2 below the fuse box in the pic. Also can I remove the electrical thingymabobajig numbered 1 to the right of the fuse box without getting any FI errors?
I believe number one is the Air Intake Solenoid Valve, mine on the zx10 has been removed but thrown up an fi code which I'm going to work on tomorrow..
As Gilesy says, bin the lot, but remember to put a little bung or a bolt down the pipe coming off that number 2 thingy and cable tie it in ! No FI lights come on !
All I can add is that both are present on the road bike, although one was blocked as part of the flapper mod, but both are removed from the track bike completely. You're welcome to see how, although it wasn't clear how it was done just by looking otherwise I would have removed the ones on my road bike too.
