    Hi,

I have some marks on my panels - can this be corrected?

Thinking of touch up paint, some sanding etc..

    Anyone done this before?

    Any pointers?

    Thanks

    Both difficult repairs unfortunately.

The side fairing can be touched in but wet sanding is likely to pull through the panel edge, but a reasonable job can be done with care that is barely noticeable.

The nose cone needs repainting I'm afraid... its metallic and given the size of the repair required is never going to look right regardless of effort spent touch in by hand.

I would suggest touching in the side fairing and having the nose cone repainted.

Thinking the Nose cone would cost int he region of £150 to repair? also will need to remove stickers? will the go back on?

    what is the repair process?

should i just look out for a new Nose cone? or a second hand one?

I would cost up a new panel from Honda first... the plastics don't seem to be too pricey. One even may come up second hand?

    I wouldn't paint myself ... it's never 100% :)

Have you priced up a replacement nose cone ??
My RR7 has a small stone hole in it just above the headlight from the previous owner.
He was going to replace it before I bought it and IIRC he said the bare cone was around £250 and was going to add that to the price on the bike.

I told him to leave it and I put a sticker over it.

will keep an eye out for a second hand one..new is out of budget, as i will not be riding this year anyway..

its an odd place..not sure if a sticker would look right over it...?

If already got touch up paint it won't hurt to fill it in to mask it a bit ... but I agree a sticker will look weird in that location and rather obvious!
