The only way that rag still exists is by being so far up the manufacturers rectums that any chance of balanced journalism is just a pipe dream.

I'm looking forward to PB doing a group test later on this year to see which bike will come out on top.

Agree about MCN but I have grown to love the new R1's looks.

It does look nice, especially in race trim with the akrapovic exhaust.:)

Have to say I saw it today in the flesh for the first time at the scottish bike show.
I liked it, especially in the red and white colours.

Saw it yesterday in the flesh. Looks the mutts nutts man. 15k with Magnesium wheels, aluminum tank, and 6 axis electronics package is a very good price. Think BMW's equivalent model is near 18k.

Let's hope there is a new blade in 2016 to keep up with these new breeds

According to the guy from Two Wheels Honda in Edinburgh there is no new blade set for release.
However he did state that they didn't know of the new VFR800 until IT was unveiled to the public.
He also did say that more manufacturers will look towards turbos due to new emissions laws.

There's no doubt it is a gorgeous looking bike with all the toys and power to back it up.

Anyone ever considered that Honda could just be sitting on the wall, waiting to see what they need to do to take the lead again. It's not like Honda don't know what they're doing, I think it could be a ploy and suddenly they'll release something very special in the near future.

I'm totally happy with my 2015, as I love inline four's, but I think it'll be something very special when it does arrive. Lets face it, now they know what they have to beat.

I think the new R1 is a cracking looking bike, only saw it in the flesh for the first time. I think it needs a tail tidy and to get rid of that chunky exhaust and it'll look and sound great. The front headlights are a bit marmite though, apart from that 200bhp out of the box? Yes please! I'll look forward to trying one out soon and if it delivers I'll consider one in a year or so's time.
