I have made a bike trailer in a diamond shape and not fitted a bar at the front for anchor points, my question is can you use these handlebar straps with the ratchet straps going backwards to anchor points in the middle?? All the pictures I can find have the ratchet straps go forwards which makes sense but I don't want to put a front bar on the trailer as it's much easier for me to store without one hope this makes sense
    Cheers

I would believe If at all possible the bike should be pulled into a fixed object.
Example... Floor, bulk head, side panel?
Pulling away from the direction you'd wish to secure it too would simply not allow it to tighten up into anything.

Have a read of this, think you'll see where I'm coming from?

Edit: add pictures so we can have a better look perhaps?

I guess it depends how far back you're going. Here's my old track bike, the bar straps are about a foot behind the bars, although there is a strap on the rear pulling forwards to offset it.

The front wheel is locked in place and there will be straps at the back to offset it, it will not be far different to your setup so I think it will be ok
