Was with MCE for the first year which ran out yesterday. Called them up to cancel and they never even tried to match any quotes I got. Two days after cancelling my policy I got a phone call from them giving me a renewal price!! Idiots man... Now with Express Insurance. Got some quotes from Compare the Market. Now have a wee meerkat on its way, which i'll punt on eBay for £20 lol
Did you renew your insurance with them or was it a brand new policy? I would guess the latter, in which case they cancelled the old policy as it was not renewed. Don't panic about the phrase "cancelled" as that is not the bad type of cancelled that insurance companies don't like i.e. when they cancel a policy for fraud etc.
Brand new policy with Express Insurance. Wasn't happy with them when they didn't even try to keep my business. So the policy ran out yesterday and I was all paid up. Now fully comp with EI and 2 years NCB
My old policy on my 2011 bike had expired in October when I sold the bike and I cancelled the renewal. It wasn't until over three months later at the end of February that I took out the new policy with them on my new bike.
I've (Literally on Friday) just moved to them... From RCIB... RCIB were a bit of a pain to renew with. Via search engine they were always cheapest, but the price would ramp up from £328 to £560 when spoke to them about a renewal. They always promised to call back in 10 minutes but never did... And they'd send me 10 emails a day reminding me about my renewal and promising a loyalty discount... So I went with MCE instead. Slightly more expensive. (But only just) on the search engine. The only issue i've had is waiting for the documents to arrive... They reckon they were emailed yesterday. No sign... Nothing obvious in mail server logs either of them being rejected. And their quotes still turn up instantly... And reminders for quotes... sigh... Wish they'd be a bit less clueless about the way email works. They can't even tell me what the sending address or mail server would be. They're probably sending from another non-existent email address... grr...
Check your "Spam Folder" of your email account, for some reason the email they sent me with all the documents attached ended up in there.

Turned up monday. I have mceinsurance.com whitelisted. Luckily they were just tardy with the paperwork. H
