Went to The Pitstop diner in Stockton bike night this evening. There was a 14 reg Repsol Blade there, which I had a nose about at. I was surprised to see that the suspension was all Showa, I thought the new stuff was Ohlins.. Anyway, I noticed that one of the fork legs looked wet and had a tide mark where the forks were travelling. The other leg had a dust travel mark but was dry, as I did think, maybe, whoever owned it may have given the bike a spray of ACF, but I wouldn't have thought it would look that wet. I never found out who the rider was to bring it to their attention, although I also thought they might have thought I was a cheeky f*&%*r who was dissing their pride and joy. If it was a leaky seal then it doesn't say much for Honda's build quality reputation or their service dept these days..
Only the SP models have ohlins fitted by the factory, the standard blades have the Showa kit fitted same as the 2012 onwards bikes.
