As some of you may know, I am currently trying to research and purchase my 1st blade. Whilst I appreciate it is a subjective matter and probably comes down to personal preference and opinion, from the title heading, which would you deem to be the best model? Or is it a simple case of newer/latest model will be the best due to R&D and technological advances?
My reason for asking, some of the RR8 models are in the same price bracket for the RR-B, both with similar spec, mileage etc.
Need to make sure my 1st blade is right!

Just buy one. Any one. They're brill. I had a Gixer K5 1000 before my RR-9 which are reputed to be one of the best Gixers and I thought I'd miss the Gixer mid range..........I don't, the blade is pretty much on par and the suspension is better! That's what 4 years of development gets you!

Think it's going to be black, would prefer one with the black frame but the one I have my eye on is silver framed. Has a ton of extras on it and is a lovely bike. Just waiting for seller to get back from his holidays and hopefully close the deal. Thanks for your input and advice folks.

Go for the later models as better suspension and dash! Other wise they are pretty much the same

Didn't the RR8 have a rep of being a bit of an oil burner?

Yes they did, but not all suffered with this problem, I'd want to play it safe i'd go for a later model and £7.5k will certainly get you a 2011 model, that's what I sold my 2011 Repsol for six months ago with 7k on the clock and mint, so I think your capable of a 2012 model.

Colour depends on your choice, but Repsol's do sell easier (FACT).

    Yep, as above.
Worth it as people say the suspension is a lot more plush, not just owners, MCT suspension do too.

And the dash is nicer too.
