Air filter question for rr5

Hi, need some help please. Are there any cheaper washable alternatives to K&N, BMC etc? genuine filters cost a fortune!!! and can't be cleaned(can they?) Have had a look on all the obvious sites, but not finding much I don't already know about. Cheers.

To be honest, it's such a crucial part for maintaining the health and lifespan of your engine, it's not worth skimping on.

 

Keep an eye on eBay..u can get good second hand k&n second had for about £35

 

As it happens I have the ones I removed when I fitted a K&N in the garage, they are used, but don't look too bad, they even have the little plasic spacers with them. £20 posted?

 

Thanks for the offer, but I decided to take the plunge and have a look in the air box myself, to see what was fitted( not had the bike long). The standard filters that are in there look pretty spotless, so I'll leave em in there until next service then change them for K&N's or something. Thanks again.
