Hi guys Just a quick one. What size rear sprocket do people find the best for general track use on the 2008 onwards CBR1000RR. I seem to be running quite a big rear sprocket at a 48 I'm thinking a 46 would be a little better, providing a quicker acceleration off the turn. What do you guys think?
48!!! WTF.. standard is 42, so if you go down teeth at the back, it will reduce your acceleration, not increase it.
At 48 your chain must be huge! Down 1 at the front on a gearing commander shows the equivalent rear at plus 2.8 teeth so you'd be better going down 1 front and up 3 at the rear. After 48 your gonna miss the punch!
Wonder if it's a cbr600 rear sprocket instead of a thou? Should be mad that gearing so if you say its slow.. Can't be. Proper 1000 sprocket
It's defo for a 1000. Thing is my last two bikes were making approx 200hp at the wheel. I'm finding it hard to adjust to the 35/40hp loss. I guess that's why it has no punch.
I'm running a 15/44 and all the bloody thing does is wheelie!!!!!!!!!!! I'm not saying that's a bad thing!!!!
